I just love babies. How they can change their mood, expression in just a blink of an eye. They are so funny. I often wonder, what are they thinking. I must look like a fool to them. This crazy lady with this black thing in front of her face. Either way, I end up making them my friend.

My Sister Michelle

Some people have the honor of having a sister. Well, must really be honored because I have 3 of them. It is even a greater honor when you are able to take your sister's senior portraits. So, I guess I am overly honored. My baby sister is extra special. Not only is she my sister, she was also born on my birthday. We are exactly 10 years apart. We went to different places to take pictures. Actually, it was pretty hard for me to take her pictures. I didn't want her to look too grown up, and I wanted to give her something special that no one else would have. I know photography has endless possiblities, but sometimes it is harder when you want it to be so great. Michelle, my sis, has done exceptionally well in school. I am so proud of her. She is now the state Vice-President for FFA, and asked me to step in for my parents (they have another event to attend.) as she accepts her award at the state convention April 15th. I am so honored. She is definately going to go places in her life and I hope that she doesn't ever give up or give in when it looks like there is no other way. I love you Michelle and I am so happy to call you my sister. You have turned into a beautiful, smart young lady and don't ever let anyone tell you different.

Special Families

A passion I have in photography is children and families. I realized the other day, I have been a part of one family's life for a long time. Not only was I able to photograph their wedding, I also photograph their children. I wish I had a picture from the wedding, but sadly enough, this was a few years ago and I didn't have a digital camera. I love walking into a clients home and being more than a business person. I see my work proudly displayed on their walls. I would rather not refer to my clients as clients. I would rather refer to them as friends. I watch their children grow. I see them learn. I can compare how their looks have changed since the last time I photographed them. I feel like I am a part of their family. To me that is an honor. This picture is of some children that are very dear to my heart. This family has allowed me to photograph them from day one. Since the engagement. They will always hold a special place in my heart.

Here is the start!

Well, this is my first blog. Now to figure all of this out. At WPPI, it was suggested everyone should have a blog. I really don't know if people will be interested in what I have to say or feel for that matter. We shall see. Now, how the heck to I get photos and things up? You couldn't possibly understand what is going thru my mind right now. Part of me says write about yourself, the other side says you need a plan first with design, layout, pictures. Why can my brain ever agree. ha. So, I am a wife. I have been married to my wonderful husband Doug for almost 10 years. We have 3 beautiful, wonderful children, Kaylee, Emilee, and Kenzee. They are wonderful most of the time until it comes to cleaning their room. ha. But I am sure most mothers can relate to that. I own and operate 2 business. Thats right. I am super busy. I have a sign, t-shirt business called Here's Your Sign and my other business is photography i.e. Pamela Davis Photography. So, the other half of my brain is dying to figure this out. So, I will write more when I get this layout/design part of me happy. Thanks for reading. :) Have a good day.
